Ironton Rail Trail

The Ironton Rail Trail is an acquired green way that spans more than nine mile, looping in Whitehall and winding through the borough of Coplay and North Whitehall Township.  The side, flat trail combined with easy access provides an outdoor recreational opportunity for people of all ages and physical abilities.  The trail is also used for events such as historical hikes, trolley tours and a 10k race.

Plans are to have the entire trail paved for biking, rollerblading, walking and jogging enthusiasts.  Bridges will be restored and events will commence, as the Ironton-Rail provides another exciting recreational opportunity.  the Ironton Rail Trail celebrated its 17th anniversary on June 4th 2013.
